Sony STR DA333ES 5.2 Surround Receiver. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not a big fan of most of Sony products as they are designed to sell in a market for people on a tight budget. BUT, There are some Nice Sony Audio pieces out there to be had if you can find them. Any old receiver will do eh?? Plug in a set of speakers, Turn it on, Select an input, Turn up the volume and sound comes out .... easy peasy right ? ... I pull the top case of this Sony DA333ES as I do all things before I evaluate and determine their market value. Low and behold I find a Big, High Spec, Sony Audio Transformer. All the circuit boards have Audio Grade Capacitors, Lots of Heavy heat sinks. This receiver is built well. The ES line of Sony Receivers are the top dogs in its lineup of receivers. Its only failing is you have to take the time, find and select the correct audio output program to get the most from it and will be very happy with the sound quality and spaciousness it produces. Alternately, if you choose the 'wrong' setting your opinion would more than likely be not so great .... read a few reviews, they all state the same thing. It all comes down to the setup with this particular receiver .... quite like a Denon that way, you take the time to do it once and your all set ..... It does not have HDMI inputs, but, heck who needs them, run the HDMI from your router to your tv and an optical cable from the router to the receiver for surround audio.

* I have been servicing other peoples speakers and equipment for over 25yrs, I inspect and test all my own equipment and drivers before listing them, If they need service work I try to ensure everything is working the way it is supposed to before it is sold to anyone.
* If I replace surrounds, I warranty them for 36months - where else can you get warranty on repairs?
* If the crossovers need new Capacitors, I replace them.

There are too many 'OKz.cates' out there who make offers and claim they are coming 'Right Out' ,then climb back into the woodwork and disappear. Put your money where your mouth is. If you are serious about something and want me to hold it for you for a week or less then send me a deposit. If it is not like I claim it to be when you come to see it then I will refund your deposit.
* (4). - Please remember that some brand new or seldom used older gear that has been sitting may work for years without troubles, or, it also may develop small troubles simply from lack of use. There is no warranty that comes with my gear no matter the condition unless I state it clearly in the ad. That being said if a piece of gear develops some troubles, give me a call and let me see if I can help you out. I like to think that I am a reasonable person within reason.
* (5).- There is no cure for misuse and abuse or just plainly being a 'Dumbass'. If you are unsure about how something wires up or works Ask Questions!! There is nothing more frustrating that talking with someone who was too proud to ask for assistance, but, instead wires up something wrong, burns or blows it up then attempts to blame their own mistakes on someone else.
