**Job Description:**
The Medical Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing the front office operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow within the practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical office procedures, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in using the Oscar EMR system.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of registration processes.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, manage the provider's calendar, and handle rescheduling or cancellations.
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls, addressing patient inquiries, and directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Verify patient insurance information and handle billing and coding tasks as needed.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry in the Oscar EMR system.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to manage patient flow and optimize appointment scheduling.
- Assist with the preparation of patient charts and documentation.
- Process referrals and prior authorizations efficiently.
- Manage office supplies and inventory, ensuring the front office is well-stocked and organized.
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a family practice.
- Proficiency in using Oscar EMR is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and billing/coding procedures.

STATRTING PAY AT 20 DOLLARS AN HOUR
Call during work hours from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm
