administrative assistant

Our medical legal company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant, for a one year parental leave. The successful candidate will report and coordinate the work directly with the directors of the company.

The responsibility of the assistant include:
- contacting patients to gather medical information and book appointments
assist visitors, clients, and employees
- recording appointments information on the company's calendar
- handling incoming and outgoing phone calls and directing them to coordinate patients' appointments, discussing information, and collecting outstanding payments with insurance representatives
- performing data entry tasks to maintain accurate records of patients' appointments and billing
- filling request forms with patients and sending them to service providers and insurance companies
- organizing files, photocopying, and scanning office documents
- perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

While training will be provided for the first weeks, the preferred candidate would have at least 1-2 years of previous office experience in a medical clinic and should also be:
- proficient in both written and spoken english
- detail oriented
- experienced with maintaining data records
- proficient in typing and using Microsoft Word and Excel

The successful candidate will start on June 1, 2024, and will be working 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, at our office in Richmond Hill, ON. The salary is starting from $20/hour and will be calculated based on the candidate's experience.
