Position Details
Context: The Finance Department is accountable for four main functions, including accounting, loans administration, corporate administration and property services. The accounting section oversees the controllership and treasury functions, including all financial and management reporting; internal controls; budget preparation, revision, and monitoring; provision of submissions to Treasury Board; and cash flow management. The loans administration section is responsible for the collection of homeowner repair and down payment loans, as well as the monitoring of affordable housing rent levels. The corporate administration section oversees the management of legal documents, fleet, insurance and claims, office equipment and supplies acquisition and supplier source list updating. The property services section administers all property and land holdings.
Duties: Maintains an inventory of office supplies and equipment; responsible for mail handling and sorting; receiving and arranging delivery of parcels and supplies, and courier services; spreadsheet input and maintenance in support of Clerk As; processes, files and controls requisitions for office supplies, and issues purchase orders if required; updates Tender Award Reporting System (TARS) List and source list; performs other clerical functions and duties needed to assist the Purchasing Manager, Fleet Manager and Building Custodial Supervisor as required.
