Customer Service Specialist

Location: Etobicoke, Ontario - Kipling and Islington Area

We are currently searching for a full-time Merchant Services Specialist to work directly with our clients and partners as a product expert and go-to specialist. This financial services company was created to change the way merchants and their customers interact to make all types of payments accepted. As a Merchant Services Specialist, you are working directly with merchant clients and ensuring they get paid from their customers. You are an essential piece of their business, and they require a strong communicator who prides themselves on building trust and creating relationships.

What a regular day looks like

Troubleshoot technical problems to determine pain points and provide practical solutions
Assist by responding to more complex client operational issues or concerns as required ensuring superior client experience
Working cross-functionally to drive process improvement
Training and educating merchants to provide a high quality work product
Analyze transactions, payments, and statements to resolve any client inquiries
Accurately entering in client information through multiple platforms
Building trust and creating relationships as a product expert and go-to specialist with merchant partners by understanding and meeting needs quickly, professionally and accurately
Responding to emails and calls in a timely manner, you may be asked to work on-call during the evenings in the case an urgent request comes in
Who you are:

Minimum 1 year Merchant Services experience is an asset
Minimum 1 year Customer Service or Financial experience
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related fields
Bilingualism (English and French) highly preferred
Strong communicator and an excellent command of the English language
Savvy and resourceful, a problem-solver who is quick on their feet to provide resolutions on the first call
Demonstrated flexibility to provide after-hours telephone support to accommodate work demands (low call volume)
Merchant Services or Payment Processing experience is an asset
