Zipper Pattern Oil Lamp Circa 1890

For sale I am offering this elegant antique hand-held Imperial glass Coal Oil Lamp. A beautiful piece of Americana, this kerosene table lamp features the ‘Zipper' Pattern style. Original Circa 1880 to 1900's. This kerosene Lamp pattern was introduced by the Pittsburg Lamp Brass and Glass Co. of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. It is designed to be carried with one finger (making it light and portable).

The lamp measures about 5 inches in diameter and about 5 1/2 inches high without the chimney. Included with the lamp is a brass burner and original glass chimney (pictured), which fits snugly. Also included is the original wick. Overall 12 7/8 inches from base to top of Chimney. Weight: approximately 1 Pound.

Featured is a wonderful hand held oil lamp from Imperial Glass. This piece is about 5 inches in diameter and about 5 1/2 inches high without the chimney. Included with the lamp is a brass burner and glass chimney (pictured). Note that I'm not sure if the chimney is a match to the one originally included with the lamp. The chimney doe snot fit snugly within the retaining clips of the burner. The glass is in excellent condition, free from any chips or cracks.
