These rope lights are LED, cool to the touch, and they are up to 90% more efficient than incandescent lights. Each string is 16 feet long with end-to-end connectivity to connect up to four ropes in a single outlet. Includes mounting clips and screws for secure installation but I just wound them around my deck railings and used a cable tie at the end of the string to complete the fastening.
I used these lights for 1 winter season (they are very bright) and they have been stored properly, away from sunlight when not in use. One set has not been used and is still in the box.
These lights are top rated on the Canadian Tire website.
