Looking for a developmental aide with experience working with atypical youth. The aide's role is to provide the support the youth needs in learning various skills – communicating with others using communication device, activities of daily living using visual adaptations, moving with appropriate strength and coordination etc.
This position is to work with a non-verbal girl with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and cortical visual impairment (CVI) in Panorama. There is funding for 16 hours ( 4 days) support per week.
The successful applicant must:
• Have experience working with atypical children or youth
• Be organized, creative, flexible and patient
• Familiarity with using communication device
• Have a reliable vehicle
