My partner and I are moving to Victoria here in the next few weeks. I will be starting my PhD program at UVIC soon and I'm looking for a nice family that needs a nanny. It can be part-time or full-time. I am open to both. I have over a decades worth of experience in Childcare. I have worked at 2 separate daycare/preschool centers. I have nannied for many families and babysat for many more. I can provide references upon request and am also open to a either a working or meet-up interview. I have been First Aid and CPR certified for both adults and kids. I do also own a motor vehicle if transportation is important. Pay is negotiable, dependent on number of kids and expectations.

Here is how I like to operate as a childcare provider - I believe it is important to coexist as a unit with parents. I believe in creating an environment dependent on parental preference. I also believe in open communication about expectations. I believe in exercising plenty of patience with kiddos, I like gentle parenting and Montessori style techniques best. Overtime, I have seen firsthand that they provide the most productive and greatest long term benefits. I also do believe that it is a part of my duties to deal with housekeeping needs as they arise, putting together meals as required, and am also happy to do simultaneous pet care if needed.

A bit about me - I am moving to Victoria with my partner and our two doggos! They are the sweetest babies and I couldn't imagine doing life without our little family. I will be getting my PhD in Biological Anthropology, my focus will be on the effects of horseback riding on the pelvis. In my spare time I love to play video or board games with friends, crochet, be at the gym, or pick up any of the other 28 hobbies I've started and not finished. My all time favorite way to pass the time, however, is reading. I have a massive book collection and read as much as I can. Rest assured, I will probably try to turn your kiddo onto reading as well!
