Gorgeous, Vintage 70 WPC Pioneer SX-939 Stereo Receiver in Custom Cherry Wood cabinet

This exceptional Japanese-manufactured Pioneer SX-939 AM/FM stereo receiver delivers the warm, rich sound that made the SX series legendary during the golden era of 1970s hi-fi. Originally part of Pioneer's prestigious SX line, this 70-watt per channel powerhouse has been transformed with stunning custom cherry wood cabinetry crafted by our master woodworker, elevating this already impressive receiver to a true work of art.

This fully serviced receiver features Pioneer's renowned parallel push-pull OCL power amplifier with less than 0.3% total harmonic distortion, paired with a completely new PLL MPX circuit and frequency linear 4-gang variable capacitor. The unit has undergone our comprehensive Level 2 service protocol, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. While there is some light wear along the top metal lip of the faceplate, this character-adding patina is typical for a 50 year old component and tells the story of this remarkable receiver's journey through the decades.

The custom cherry wood cabinet is brand new and absolutely gorgeous, providing a stunning contrast to the classic silver faceplate. The receiver lights up beautifully with its signature illuminated dial, and the sound quality is fantastic with tons of power to drive virtually any speakers.
