Job Intro
The Construction Manager is the leader for our ongoing projects designed by our project development team. Responsibilities include delivering each construction project's objectives, including timeframes, cost schedules, and quality control.
Typical Work Day
- Lead representative to our clients, managing their expectations and providing customer service throughout the project
- Provide construction technical oversight and build direction on the project
- Perform regular site inspections for construction quality, timeliness, and safety
- Provide direction to site supervisors for day-to-day supervision of site staff and address any issues escalated by site staff
- Coordinate all subcontractors and large material orders
- Manage project information on digital platforms, including project schedule, payment schedule, allowances, and selections
- Job budget control: oversee purchases, subcontracts, approve invoices and process change orders
- Daily coordination with fellow project managers for resources and assistance
- Provide and collaborate weekly progress reports to management and team

Requirements
What's Most Important
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on construction experience in residential renovations - Leadership experience as a site supervisor/foreman, previous project management experience strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all technical aspects of construction (from rough to finish) to direct a build based on scopes and plans, and perform general cost estimating.
- Able to read construction plans and engineering reports; experience in effectively complying with building codes and standards.
- Professional communication skills to liaison with wide range of personnel and stakeholders involved in each project; clients, site staff, subcontractors and suppliers, engineers, permit officials and inspectors.
- Proven effective time, information and detail management skills, with the ability to juggle full scopes of multiple projects at once.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills to balance different projects and needs.
- Leadership ability to drive efficient performance of jobs, ethical stewardship of each project, aligned with the company's vision.
- Computer literacy to effectively learn online-based construction management systems (BuilderTrend and Microsoft Suite).
