This is my beloved 2008 Honda Civic. I've had the car since June 2nd 2020, I am the second owner and it's been the most sturdy car I've owned since.
I bought it off a lady who bought it from Colonial Honda, it had about 141k when I bought it.
It was repainted about 2 years ago now, before the clear coat was pealing on almost the entire top half the of the car (typical for Hondas of this era). The new paint is not manufacture quality and is having some fade when it's all super clean. There is some rock chips on the hood too but over it was 100% better than it once was.
Some rust starting to show on the rear fenders on you can only see it when it's clean. Otherwise I had it undercoated 4 times in those five years and the under carriage is pretty clean underneath.
Summer tires are 1 year old and the winter rims I had on are brand new this winter.
I have Si rims on it, I got them from a buddy of mine and they're in 7/10 condition some scratches on the sides they're still worth good $500.
The winter rims has a bent rim and is still drivable however has some shaking, I took them off when I bent them on the awful road of Nova Scotia.
I've added a few things like a DC sports short ram intake and DC Sports muffler, this muffler is not loud it's actually quite silent for an aftermarket exhaust.
There is a front strut bar installed as well, and a few Acuity accessories. Otherwise it's pretty stock and was never lowered.
(The car was swapped over into a black interior except the dash and carpet.)
It has new pads and rotors and new tires summers and winters (bent rim) and all new LED bulbs interior and exterior, and old bulbs and some new LED replacements.
The car has a sunroof, cruise control A/C but it doesn't work unfortunately. Power locks and windows and trunk. Fog lights as well. Window guards and bug defectors. It also has WeatherTech floor mats for the front Dirver and passenger. Original engine clutch and transmission. The clutch feels very good and has instant engagement still.
The bad
-2nd gear wil grind when cold, and sometimes will pop out. One place said the transmission was gone but I've been driving for 6 months like this and Im not completely sure if its the transmission.
-cracked windshield
-VTEC solenoid valve has a slight leak of oil which is giving the check engine like code,
-passenger front needs a ball joint
-driver front wheel bearing.
I did bust the rear passenger side tail light and bending my rear fender in but I had it fixed before i pained it and you can only see where the bumper doesn't align perfectly anymore.
Inspection is up in November 2025, the reason I am selling it as my job is requiring offsite training and working, and I was looking to take a few road trips in the coming year so I bought a brand new car.
My other half can't drive a manual, otherwise I'd keep the car as I said earlier this is a very beloved car and I've spent a lot of time and effort to make sure it looks decent, and I'm very sad to see it go. It has another 5 or 6 years left if cared for the way I can't anymore.
