This is a John Deere binder that is perfect for a restoration project. The wood on the binder needs to be replaced but the original wood is still present enough to provide a pattern for all the pieces.
The factory canvases have been stored indoors for decades and are in excellent condition. Still showing the original John Deere logo printed on the canvas. The horse pole and yoke have also been stored indoors and are perfectly serviceable. Still showing the John Deer green paint. There is a 3 horse wooden evener and a 3 horse metal evener. Have rolls of actual binder twine and the original maintenance manual.
The binder has been stored outside but regularly greased and oiled and turned over with the maintenance crank and still fully functional. The tires have been stored lifted up from the ground and are in perfect condition. Just towed the binder to a new location and engaged the drive mechanism and triggered the knotter several times. EVERYTHING WORKED PERFECTLY.
Just asking a bit more than scrap metal price to ensure it is actually being restored.
