Job Title: Handyman / Property Maintenance person

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Handyman / Property Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair needs of 6-8 residential rental properties in Sherwood Park. This role requires someone with a broad range of trade skills, a proactive mindset, and a talent for solving problems with cost-effective, lasting solutions. You or your team will act as the go-to person for all physical property issues, ensuring our homes remain in top condition and our tenants are satisfied.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general maintenance and repairs on interior and exterior of properties
• Troubleshoot and address issues in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repairs
• Handle seasonal property upkeep (e.g., lawn care coordination, snow removal arrangements)
• Respond promptly to urgent repair requests from tenants
• Source materials and manage minor renovation or upgrade projects
• Work with property owner to prioritize maintenance budgets and suggest smart, durable solutions.
• Maintain records of repairs, costs, and maintenance schedules

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in property maintenance or multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and keep costs manageable
• Ability to work independently, reliably, and communicate clearly
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation
• Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations
• Ability to handle minor emergencies and assess when professional specialists are needed
