Job Title: Linehaul-Preload Shunt Representative (AZ Driver – Night Shift)

Location: Etobicoke, ON (Toronto area)

Job Type: Full-time | Night Shift | Permanent

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage as per company standards, including shift premium (if applicable)

Shift Schedule:
Sunday to Thursday
8:00 PM to 4:30 AM (½ hour lunch)
Rest Days: Friday & Saturday

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled AZ-licensed driver to join our Linehaul team as a Preload Shunt Representative. This is a critical overnight position responsible for safely and efficiently moving trailers in and around our Toronto facility to support nightly hub and preload operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate shunt trucks and standard tractors within the yard

Safely position trailers at designated dock doors (up to 62-door setup)

Use the PINC yard management system to track trailer movements

Maintain active communication with dispatch for trailer priorities and yard flow

Perform basic equipment inspections and report mechanical issues promptly

Maintain a clean and organized yard, ensuring efficient trailer access

Occasionally drive 5-ton trucks or complete on-road runs as needed

Assist with documentation and miscellaneous yard duties

Must be "trains qualified" (or willing to become qualified through training)

Qualifications:

Valid Class AZ Ontario Driver's License

Previous experience shunting trailers in a busy yard environment

Familiarity with digital yard management systems is a strong asset (we will train)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Able to work independently during overnight shifts

Physically capable of yard work, including climbing in/out of trucks and handling trailers

A proactive attitude toward safety, communication, and teamwork.
