This is fresh off the bench. 6”x14” all hardware is durable hot powder coated. The shell is from some very special North American Mahogany that was milled around 70 years ago. This species is very rare today, maybe close to extinct, not sure, but have never seen it offered in lumber mills. It used to be common in furniture as well as many Ludwig, Slingerland, etc drums from the early 1900's to the late 60's. Now we see similar but not the same Philippine or African Mahogany. The re-rings are inlaid into the shell which adds excellent strength to the stave construction and is local naturally dried Ash. The Throw off and butt have been custom machined from brass stock. I advertised as new, but did take it out for one night to make sure it performed to my satisfaction. Drum sounds great. I have been crafting custom drums for decades, mostly for hobby purpose and if on FB you can see some of my work on my page SAW drums.
