I have a 13 year old male Green Cheek conure who is looking for a forever home (cheetoh). I adopted him 5 years ago and he has come a long way. His wings were clipped from previous owner but I have let them grow back. He flies a little bit when he gets spooked but usually just sits on top of his cage. He loves to take baths, will take treats from hands, and says “hello baby”. I feel he would be happiest with another bird friend, which is something we are not able to give him, or just a loving home where someone can give him lots of attention. We are expecting our first child in September and are worried about the noise and feel he needs more than we are able to give him. We love him a lot and are having a hard time with this decision. We want to make sure he goes to the right person who has the patience, knowledge and love to work with a bird who has trauma and is middle aged. He is not hand tamed, but is not aggressive, just shy. I have done some target training with him and coaxed him to fly with treats and had some success. Please reach out if you feel you would be a good fit for our sweet Cheetoh.
