4 Level height adjustment. Other vacuum companies are legally advertising "automatic" height adjustment. That just means no height adjustment.
Dirt sensor lights. There is an optical eye sensing when dust and particles pass by
Straight Suction Mode. You can turn off the agitator for straight suction on bare floors
Attachments. Vacuum does not come with any attachments. There's a spot in the back to attach a hose but they never shipped a hose with them.
Wooden agitator. Plastic melts. Metal transmits heat. Wood does neither and is easy to balance at the factory
Pet Mode. Again, there is no such thing. Around 2012 they discovered that if you put a picture of a dog or cat on the box and write "pet" on the vacuum you will increase sales. They usually give you a little hand held attachment to help you get dog hair off the couch.
If you are looking at this you already know that it is basically a Kenmore canister vacuum, with the same head as the canisters, but without the tank at the end of the hose. It is all contained in one slim upright unit. This was made and designed by Panasonic. They moved their plant from Kentucky to the Mexico Matsushita plant in the early 2000s.


I used to work as a technician at a vacuum department and I bought an extra one of these when they clearanced them out. It swivels around furniture better than the Sharks but it is actually a quality-built machine just like the Panasonic-built Kenmore canister vacuums.


And if you know anything about vacuums and are wondering why it's not bagless then you don't actually know anything about vacuums. Bagless are fine at first, but the dirt gets around the filters, filters deteriorate, dirt gets in the motor and it starts whining, and, finally, dumping them breaks the seal and gets dirt everywhere. And THEN you need to buy expensive filters. Go for a bag. It's cleaner and lasts longer. This takes the Kenmore Z-Bag, but it will also fit the Type-O HEPA bags. This has separate motor in the head, which can be turned off for bare floors. It powers the agitator through a Kenmore Whisper Belt. These have grooves not teeth to reduce friction and sound. They are reinforced with glass filaments just like a serpentine belt in your car. It should never break at all But if you're negligent and let hair get built up in there is a circuit overload switch in the head. If it does break, they're easy to order. The agitator head is wood and has been balanced at the factory. It does not transfer heat like metal and does not melt like plastic. There are bearings on each end. Disassembly is easy to remove long hairs and debris when necessary.
