No-Nonsense Ground Fabric – What I Use for My Own Jobs Don't waste your money on flimsy plastic or so-called landscape cloth. If you're building a driveway, a pad, or a proper liner, you need real ground fabric. I've got 10 to 14 ounce nonwoven geotextile in 15x300 foot rolls. These are about 250 to 300 pounds each and work for any drainage, separation, or base-building job. I've used them on acreage roads, under riprap, and around ponds.
For jobs that need containment — not drainage — I've got 600 pound woven geomembrane rolls. These are 60mil thick and reinforced with an EIA core. They'll take on freeze-thaw, punctures, UV, and chemical exposure without blinking. You only install them once.
Prices are $850 for nonwoven full rolls, $450 for half. Woven: $1,650. Located in Sherwood Park. Looking for trades too — lumber, gabions, stone, irrigation gear.
