Works very well and recently taken apart, checked-over, and cleaned thoroughly, including the clear front lense. Uses a standard lightbulb.

Also including a battery adapter that allows you to use 4 pieces of regular D size batteries in place of the 6B lantern battery it normally uses. With this adapter you can use alkaline, regular zinc cells, or even NiMH cells in place of the lantern batteries. In using NiMH batteries, you can even recharge them many times and really save money on buying batteries,

The lightbulb can also be easily replaced as needed in the future. Or, replace it with an LED one instead of the regular incandescent one if needed for more rugged usage, a longer working lifetime, and it can even use less power than a regular incandescent one.
