Who We Are
We're a well-established dance school in the Inkster Park area with 35 years of experience in delivering folk dance classes to students aged four and above and are currently expanding our offerings to include general dance classes. We strive to inspire our dancers of all ages to dream big, work hard, and have confidence, achieving their full potential in dance and life through an endless source of positive energy. This is in addition to fulfilling our mission of providing the highest quality dance education through fun, interactive, and age-appropriate classes. Who you are
We're seeking passionate and energetic Dance Instructors to join our team and share the joy of dance with students aged four and up. In this role, you'll design and deliver engaging lesson plans, choreograph exciting routines, and create a dynamic learning environment where students can develop their technique, creativity, and confidence. If you have a passion for dance, experience working with children, teens and adults, and a desire to teach and choreograph, we encourage you to apply!
Your Role
● Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with our curriculum and cater to different age groups and skill levels.
● Demonstrate dance techniques and safe dance teaching methods.
● Plan, attend, and teach all scheduled classes and rehearsals, utilizing the studio's syllabus in conjunction with your ideas.
● Foster and promote an inclusive learning environment.
● Follow the Studio's systems and procedures.
● Share your love of dance.
● Collaborate, communicate and promote a positive working relationship with students, parents and other staff members.
● Create innovative and age-appropriate choreography for class routines and performances.
● Select and edit music for dance routines.
● Choreograph and teach a minimum of one dance routine per assigned class, to be performed throughout the year.
● Prepare students for all performances throughout the year, including two recitals in January and June.
● Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel safe, supported, and inspired.
● Apply basic first aid as required.
● Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any updates from the studio.
● Assist with production operations and planning for performances, programs, events and sessions as needed.
● Collaborate with other instructors and studio staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
● Assist with administrative duties related to the operation and growth of the studio as needed.
● Maintain a professional demeanour and adhere to studio policies and procedures.
Must Haves
● Dance experience and expertise in one or more of the following styles: Hip Hop, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz.
● Previous dance experience is a must.
● Ability to work on multiple projects & tasks at one time.
● Ability to be professional while also friendly, upbeat and welcoming.

● Want a 9-5 Monday-Friday job and live for the weekend. This position is mainly evenings and weekends.

● Have never danced before.
Bonus Points
● Formal dance training or certification.
● Experience with performance and competition. Each class may potentially attend competitions, subject to the instructor's advice and parental approval.
