Bike only weighs 25 lbs, I'd take a lighter weight bike like this over another newer heavier bike any day for tackling any of the trails here in Edmonton and even take on climbing mountains with it without a problem

This bike rides like a newer bike, most of that feeling comes from the newer tire compounds that have more grip then the older rubber compounds

It also comes down to how tuned up the bike is. I've got this bike professionally tuned, it shifts like a fresh new bike from the bike store. If you ride a bike and it just don't feel quite right, like that new bike feeling then it hasn't been tuned right

Tuning means that the rims have been trued, the brakes have been set correctly to contact the rims for good stopping power, the drive train shifts through all the gears with no cross chatter engaging all gears, and that there is no sloppy play in the hubs, cranks, or the steering

This is a solid bike, come and try it out for yourself. There are many trails around here that you can test the bike out on. We can meet up down in the river value parking lot here in Devon and you can really give the bike a good test ride
