I'm a local realtor looking to host a simple BBQ at an open house this Saturday, June 14 from 12–4pm in Markham (46 Sycamore Dr).

I'm hoping to work with a friendly, reliable individual who can help create a welcoming, community vibe — grilling some burgers as neighbours and visitors pass by. Think low-pressure, backyard BBQ feel — not a corporate event.

Here's what I'm looking for:

Role Overview:
-Bring own BBQ grill, utensils, and setup
-Shop for groceries (burgers, buns, condiments, drinks, snacks)
-Cook and serve burgers throughout the event (12–4pm)
-Provide simple setup items (coolers, folding table, serving trays)
-Clean up the grilling area afterward (1-hour max)
-Be ready with basic safety precautions (fire extinguisher, trash bags)
-Optional: bring music or something fun to add to the vibe
-Total guest count: ~30–40 people, casual walk-up style

Budget:
I've allocated $400 total for everything (your time, food, supplies). I know this isn't a premium catering rate, but I'm hoping it appeals to someone who enjoys grilling, likes working solo, and wouldn't mind a casual, well-run gig like this. If it works out, I'll be running more of these events this summer and would love to rebook with you.
