Authentic Chinese Guzheng harp.
Handcrafted in Shanghai in 2003, top bottom and sides are carved from real Chinese paulownia wood (no plywood nor other woods), and beautiful traditional art inlaid.

The wood quality combined with premium genuine guzheng strings gives it a superior bassy responsiveness compared to others, particularly sweet sound. Notes sustain very long, proving quality workmanship and no rattling from the tuning box like some others.

Gently pre-owned for occasional professional recording sessions; now I am moving and I'd love for this guzheng harp to find a loving home.

Comes with padded fabric case, spare set of authentic guzheng strings in case of breakage, tuning chart and tuning set, and traditional finger picks for taping. 53" length is much easier to travel with in a car than some other longer ones that have cheaper wood but sound tinny compared to this one. A small superficial scratch is present beneath one of the bridges, but is difficult to notice.

This type of instrument is also known as "Koto" in Japan, or "Dan Tranh" in Vietnam; this one however is specifically from China and was made according to traditional Chinese methods, including the beautiful hand-carved art seen.
