Looking for a dependable female caregiver for part-time evening shifts and cat care in a calm home environment in North Edmonton.

I am seeking a dependable and compassionate female caregiver to assist with my daily needs in a home environment shared with cats. I am physically disabled and require support with personal care, mobility assistance, and other day-to-day tasks. Responsibilities include stand and pivot transfers to and from my wheelchair, meal preparation, household support, and hands-on care for my cats—including feeding, grooming, administering medications, managing their special diets, and giving them attention.

You must be fully comfortable with cats and willing to care for them as part of your regular duties. Their well-being is just as important as mine.

The regular schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with occasional additional shifts as needed. A training day will be provided, so previous caregiving experience is not required. However, you must be physically able to perform stand and pivot transfers and comfortable working around cats. Strong English communication skills are essential. A valid driver's license is helpful but not required.

The wage will be discussed during the interview. A probationary period applies, with a pay increase based on performance afterward. This is a part-time position ideal for someone looking to earn extra income to add to their other household income—not a full-time career role. That said, if you're reliable and stay in the role long-term, there may be opportunities for more hours down the line.

My main caregiver will be away for three weeks at the end of August and beginning of September, so I will need you to cover additional hours during that time. Flexibility and commitment are crucial.

I am also hoping to move to the west end of Edmonton within the next year, so ideally I'm looking for someone who can stay with the position long-term and is open to continuing after the move.
