Merit Concrete Lifters, established in 2008. We specialize in lifting and repairing concrete Driveways and sidewalks. We are expanding our team for the upcoming season. (Seasonal Position, May -Nov) In this role the candidate will be an integral part of the Merit team. We are seeking a Service Truck Operator for our service truck. If you have had any experience with concrete, construction, or landscape grading; combined with the requirements below you would be an ideal candidate.
JOB DUTIES
Professional driver, Operating truck systems and Supervising scope of jobs. Supporting and mentoring truck staff (1 labourer and 1 swamper). Work with management to obtain best possible outcome for clients.
Working Conditions:
• Physically fit, as this is a production environment and there will be some lifting.
• Available to work long hours which include working Monday through Friday. Paid Overtime
• Work outdoors in all conditions and temperatures. (0- 30)
• Comfortable operating in proximity to small engines, hydraulics, etc.
Requirements and experience
• Must Team Player and physically fit
• Strong organizational skills, Attention to detail
• Willing to learn all concrete grout pumping functions
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Dependable and Punctual
• CSA approved footwear
• Class 1 or 3 drivers' (with air brakes) license with a acceptable personal drivers abstract
• Minimum 1 year experience working with various High Pressure, hydraulics Equipment and Tools
• Must have own reliable transportation to and from the workplace (just off Parsons Road)
• Has clear understanding of small engines, hydraulics and various high pressure equipment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment
• Eagar to learn new skills where required
• Willingness to take direction and work effectively in production environment
• Ability to multitask and adapt to new working environments
