We are seeking a qualified Electrical Foreman for a unionized low-rise commercial project in Ontario. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned tradesperson to lead a union crew on a well-structured job site, while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate a crew of union electricians and apprentices in accordance with collective agreement guidelines
• Interpret construction drawings and perform accurate layout of all electrical systems
• Plan, organize, and schedule work to ensure timely completion of project milestones
• Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, OHSA, and directives from authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure strict adherence to site safety procedures and union safety protocols
• Liaise with general contractor representatives, project managers, and other trades
• Maintain daily logs, crew hours, and material usage documentation
Qualifications:
• 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician License in good standing (Ontario)
• IBEW member in good standing (Local [353] preferred or able to transfer)
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Foreman or Lead Hand on commercial job sites
• Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Electrical Safety Code, and jobsite safety requirements
• Proven leadership, communication, and crew coordination skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a union environment and represent management directives while respecting collective agreements
