Job Overview
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Apprentice Elevator Mechanics. As an elevator mechanic apprentice, you'll assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing elevators, lifts, escalators, and related systems.
This role offers hands-on experience and the chance to develop valuable technical skills in the elevator industry, with opportunities for advancement.

Wages (Including 9%–10% Vacation Pay):

1st Year Apprentice: $29.00 CAD 9% vacation pay
2nd Year Apprentice: $34.80 CAD 9% vacation pay
3rd Year Apprentice: $40.60 CAD 9% vacation pay
4th Year Apprentice: $48.64 CAD 9% vacation pay
Journeyman: $58.00 CAD 10% vacation pay


Duties and Responsibilities
Assist licensed elevator mechanics in installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators and escalators
Learn to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications
Safely operate hand tools and power tools under supervision
Help with wiring, motor connections, hydraulic systems, and control panels
Support testing and inspection of systems for compliance with safety regulations
Maintain a clean and organized work area; ensure all tools and materials are accounted for
Follow all site-specific and company safety protocols and regulations
Gain mechanical and electrical knowledge through hands-on experience and training

Qualifications and Experience
No prior experience necessary — a willingness to learn and strong work ethic is essential
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working at heights and in confined spaces
Familiarity with tools, basic math, and electrical or mechanical concepts is a plus
Team player with strong communication skills and reliability
Previous experience in construction, electrical, or HVAC trades is an asset but not required
