I'm sharing my personal experience with an HVAC contractor in the Hamilton area to help others make informed decisions.
In October 2022, I hired Eric Djian operating as AA Home Heating out of St. Catharines, Ontario for HVAC installation work. After receiving multiple e-transfers from me as payment, the contractor completed only a part of the job then skipped a schedule appointment for the installation of the A/C and never showed up again denying any responsibility. I was forced to hire three separate contractors to finish the installation, resulting in nearly $7,000 in additional costs.
The contractor stopped responding and could not be reached at their previous address. I have filed a claim in Ontario Small Claims Court to recover the additional expenses.
This is my genuine experience, and I encourage anyone hiring contractors to check references, request written agreements, and confirm service commitments before making payments.
