Hi, I'm looking to trade my Dean Heirloom brass body resonator for another resonator (made by a major, known brand) with a wooden body and with a pickup installed. The reason for this is that I'm a singer/songwriter and, while I love the sound of my guitar, it doesn't fit my voice the greatest when I play and sing at the same time (I only use the resonator on a couple of songs). I have a softer voice and this guitar really projects that typically sharper sound of a metal-bodied resonator. I've used it for recording and it sounds great for intro and fill-in parts (clear, sharp, and good articulation). However, if I play slide guitar and sing at a gig, I've got to play the guitar all the way through the song while singing overtop. That's also why I need a pickup to get the guitar sound into a PA without using another microphone stand.

The guitar is in really good condition (did I mention that it looks really cool?). No damage or issues. A bit of normal wear and the brass looks antiqued (it was never a bright, shiny brass). Good string height for slide guitar as well as for playing fingered chords if you're not a slide player. It comes with a basic Gator soft gig bag. It also has a 1/4" guitar jack installed but the cable only goes to an attachment on the inner cone, not to a pickup. I think this was from the factory to make it easier to put in a pickup and you wouldn't have to drill a hole through the metal body for the jack.

Currently, a used Dean Heirloom resonator like this sells for between $950 and $1200. So, I'm looking for something of similar value or cash added. (If you're offering a guitar without a pickup, I would be looking for cash so I can get a pickup installed). I'm not a stickler for exact value, so try me if you've got a guitar that isn't quite in that dollar ballpark). My objective isn't in making money but in finding an instrument that works for my musical needs.
