Prior to the 1930's.... Most farmers/ranchers had at least one set. The reins (sometime called lines) would run thru the bottom rings, connecting to the bit of the opposite horse…..for turning the horse team to the right or left.....price reduced.... … would make nice out door decoration.. Downsizing two family items not been used any longer…..They remain in very good condition ....Check the pics
