Bought this card on the 1st day 6600 xt was released, so it's as old as it can be. Served me well since.
It was never tinkered with nor overclocked. Can work quiet if you limit your frame rate. It has three fans and is silent most of the time.
8GB of memory. Some games may need more in higher resolutions with ultra settings at 1440. 1080 will be totally fine at max setting. It is some 30-50% slower compared to the lastest RTX 5060 Ti 8GB.
Recent experience with No Man's Sky limited to 60 fps is quiet and fluid at 3840x1440 with default upscaling. Played shooters like Sniper 5, Wolfenstein Old Blood, Doom 2016 at 2580x1440 with decent framerates. If you want 140 FPS at latest shooters at high res and ultra settings, you can spend 4k for a 5090 instead.
It will make some noise at high frame rates and demanding titles. I was able to run at 80 FPS but with fan noise.
It plays many games at 1440p at decent FPS rates. Not good with titles that use ray tracing, but that can be disabled in game settings.
Please note that if you have Nvidia, you will probably have to wipe existing drivers in Windows. There are guides out there on how to do that,
