Hi there! My name is Minou (MEd., HBSc.), waving at you with two hands haha. I'm the founder of Tutor Without Borders and have been teaching Math and English for over 11 years now. I believe everyone has different learning curves and with the way the education system is designed, it's "one size fits all", which is definitely not the case, hence why I only offer 1-on-1 classes to tailor to the needs of individual students. I completed graduate studies in Developmental Psychology and Education from University of Toronto (MEd.) and a Bachelor of Science program from the same university, after which I decided to start this venture in 2020 during the pandemic to combat the effects it had and continues to have on students' academic performance. Here, we teach Mathematics (Grades 3 to 11) and English (Gr 3-12). We take a more holistic approach by creating a positive and compassionate learning environment for students, as we strive to bridge the gap between optimizing academic performance and fostering awareness of student mental health. You are more than your grades. Classes are charged at $40/hr and are conducted online using Zoom.
