Shop Hand/General Laborer
J.E.B. Transport Ltd., a premier customized transport carrier based in Taber, Alberta, has been serving the industry across Canada and the United States for over 24 years.
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Shop Hand/General Laborer to be a valuable part of our team. If you have mechanical experience, strong organizational abilities, and thrive in a fast-paced shop environment, this role may be the perfect fit for you!
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform basic mechanical tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and assisting the Head Maintenance Supervisor.
• Open and close work orders efficiently and accurately.
• Source and manage parts to maintain a seamless workflow.
• Prioritize mechanical tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain detailed repair records for future reference.
• Locate and update warranty information, including processing claims.
• Collaborate with team members to support shop activities.
• Operate and maintain power tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Perform other duties as necessary to keep the shop running smoothly.
Qualifications:
• Experience:
o At least 1 year of mechanical experience.
o Prior experience in the trucking industry is an asset.
o Familiarity with shop tools and equipment.

Additional Requirements:
• Prior shop experience is essential.
• Willingness to work 40–44 hours per week, including mandatory Saturday availability.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, lifting (up to 60 lbs.), bending, and climbing.
• A valid Class 1, 3 or Class 5 license (airbrake endorsement is advantageous).
