I teach Japanese to beginners through advanced learners, focusing on daily conversation, hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji. Lessons can be tailored to your needs!

I emphasize “natural Japanese,” so you'll enjoy learning real, everyday Japanese that you can use right away.

Here's a brief overview of the class:

•For beginner-level students,
I will teach basic introductions, greetings, Hiragana (ひらがな), numbers, and simple daily expressions.

•For intermediate-level students,
we'll cover basic Kanji (かんじ) and more practical, natural daily conversations.

•For advanced-level students,
I will focus on formal conversation, more complex Kanji, and expanding vocabulary.

These are just examples to help give you an idea of how the lessons will proceed.

Since I live in downtown Toronto, I offer flexible scheduling and locations. If preferred, online lessons are available as well.

Why choose me?
I believe that language is best learned by understanding the culture and meaning behind the words, not just memorizing them. For example, while “Thank you” and “ありがとう” (arigatou) may seem like the same, they carry slightly different nuances. It's often hard to translate exactly between languages, and I'm happy to explain these subtle differences in lessons. This is just one of the many cultural insights I share to help you grasp the language more deeply.

I also love music, movies, and sports, so I make lessons engaging by incorporating casual conversations.

また、音楽や映画、スポーツが好きなので、カジュアルな会話を取り入れながら、楽しくレッスンを進めています。
