This 1963 Galaxie 500XL Convertible was my brother in-laws car.
He took it to Phoenix about 40 years ago and had it painted about 35ish years ago in enamel paint.
It had been in his garage down there ever since until I brought it up here in November of 2021.
I believe the color is unique to Canadian delivered Galaxie's from what I've read.
I took some pictures where there are a couple of cracks around the mounting holes for the trim.
All the trim is with it and there are two front bumpers as well.
He said the 390 motor and Automatic transmission were rebuilt when it was painted, but it hasn't been driven since then.
I suspect all the seals should be replaced.
It had a new top when the car was painted.
It comes with 4 real wire wheels. The tires still have the nibs on the tread, but I would replace them.
The odometer shows 9,000 or so miles. It is probably 109,000 but I'm not sure.
It does need a master cylinder. I was going to do a front disk conversion from Wilwood if I kept it.
Haggerty has it at $45k CDN in good condition and $58k CDN in excellent.
I suspect you could get it to good for less than $10k in parts labor.
I don't know if $28k is fair or if I'm way out of line?
