The bicycle has a hand built Marinoni frame using Columbus double butted tubing. The frame is designed with a very comfortable geometric configuration with a 72 degree seat tube angle for more comfortable hill climbing. The dimensions of the main tubes are: top tube 57 cm, seat tube 55 cm and down tube 62 cm. The colour is a nice fade of blue and red and the front forks and rear triangle are both chromed. The bike was converted from a road bike to a hybrid format with Campagnolo 10 speed rear cluster 14/29 with a compact front chain ring setup – 34/50. The drive train is Campy Veloce with Veloce brake leavers and shifters but with Athena rim brake calipers. The wheels are Campy rims with Miche hubs. The frame was repainted at the Marinoni factory in Montreal at the time of conversion to the hybrid. It has a new pair of Shimano SPD pedals and is currently fitted with fenders for all weather riding.
The bike could be re-converted to a road bike with the change in handle bars to drops and the change of brake levers/shifters to regular ten speed Veloce. The frame has brazeons for a rear rack and front low rider rack so it can be used for touring/camping. It is also fitted with an emergency pump. The Marinoni has only been ridden about 20 or so times since the conversion because of health reasons so the components are like new.
The price of this versatile Marinoni bicycle package is $1000.00 which is significantly less than the cost of the new Campy components that have seen very little use.
