Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Duties

Operate and drive trucks to transport goods over long distances.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Assist in minor vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed.
Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary for loading/unloading.
Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures.
Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely.
Basic automotive repair skills for minor vehicle maintenance.
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and ensuring cargo safety.
