Private room available to rent in a cozy 3 BR 2 bath garden apartment in Kitsilano. The room is available an indeterminate month-to-month lease starting July 1 (with potential to move in a bit earlier).

There's in-unit laundry, a dishwasher, and utilities are included except for wifi which is an additional $25 per person per month.

The apartment has a lovely and spacious kitchen that is fully-stocked with appliances. We have a rice cooker, air fryer, food processor, coffee machine, and a panini press to name a few.

The apartment has tons of windows (it's a walk-out, not underground) so the place gets beautiful natural light and sunshine. We have a lot of plants in the house, so this helps!. There's a lovely backyard as well which we have access to as well (where we are currently gardening!)

We're in a great location in Kits - a 10 minute walk to the West Broadway strip and main bus routes. We're within walking distance of everything you could need - drug stores, grocery stores, etc. And just a short walk to the beach as well! There's free street parking as well if you have a car.

ABOUT THE ROOM:

The room comes unfurnished. It has a lot of natural light that comes in! As an additional bonus, your room will have custom-made black out blinds so you can sleep sound (courtesy of our friend who is moving out).

Who are the housemates and what are we looking for?

We are in our mid/late 20s working professionals, having graduated from grad school last year. One of us is a budding journalist and another one is a social researcher working for the government. We love cooking, baking, playing sports at times, collaging from old magazines and making pottery. We are a community and progressive oriented household, so we center care in our approach to living and communicating.

My housemate and I are looking for someone who will take shared ownership of the space, communicate openly, and foster a sense of community. We are hoping for someone who will join us in supporting one another, keeping the space clean (we have a bi-weekly cleaning schedule for common spaces!) and having breakfast together. We think we should be able to get to know each other and also give space. In a world where isolation is common, we hope to always nurture spaces where folks can belong!
