Position: Accounting Technician (NOC 12200)

Location of employment: Same as above

Wage: $25.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent – Full Time

Language of work: English

Shifts: 9am to 5pm

Education: Completion of post-secondary education in a related subject area

Experience: Minimum one year of related experience

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Office environment with extended amount of time spent seated.

Job Duties
• Enter financial transactions into the computerized accounting system and maintain the updated financial record
• Process bi-weekly payroll, calculate & remit monthly GST/PST payments and payroll deductions to CRA;
• Finalizing accounts and year-end and assisting with the annual T-4 filing
• Calculate and pay bills, including but not limited to, sub-contractor payments, utilities and property taxes;
• Calculate and file interim and annual Worker's Compensation Board (WCB) payments and union remittance;
• Generate and analyze interim and annual financial statements to evaluate the company's financial health and identify any issues, whether actual or administrative;
• Reconcile bank statements with financial records and balance the accounts at month-end.
