For sale is an antique shabby chic three tier barrister bookcase made by “Globe Wernicke". This circa 1930s bookcase separates into five stackable units for ease of transport. Each tier features an upwards sliding glass door (glass intact, with NO breaks, cracks, or repairs), allowing for the prominent display of books or other treasures of choice. Bottom dovetailed drawer provides additional space for storage. This unit features OAK wood construction, painted over with a light yellow chalk paint. Paint appears to be original, with signs of wear due to age and use. Chips to the paint add elements of charm and character. Keep as found or strip and stain to your liking. Approximate dimensions: 34”W X 47.25”H X 12.25”D (at deepest point). Depth of each tier is approximately 11”. Excellent structural condition and craftsmanship (as found with every "Globe Wernicke" bookcase) make this fine piece a treasured find.
