Job Summary
The Owner Operator Driver is responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while managing their own vehicle and business operations. This role requires a high level of professionalism, strong driving skills, and the ability to handle various logistical challenges. As an Owner Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining your vehicle, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing excellent customer service.
REQUIREMENTS: MUST HAVE MINIVAN OR CARGO VAN
Duties
    •    Operate and maintain a commercial vehicle to transport freight to designated locations.
    •    Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
    •    Manage logistics including route planning, scheduling deliveries, and tracking shipments.
    •    Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and expenses.
    •    Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and other stakeholders regarding delivery status.
    •    Handle any necessary paperwork related to freight transport and ensure timely submissions.
    •    Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to keep the vehicle in optimal condition.
    •    Operate heavy equipment or forklifts when required for loading and unloading freight.
Skills
    •    Proficient in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
    •    Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques to address minor issues on the road.
    •    Experience in heavy equipment operation is a plus.
    •    Familiarity with freight handling procedures and logistics management.
    •    Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently when necessary.
    •    Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
    •    Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise during transport.
    •    Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
