2009 Trek 6700

A 26″ aluminum frame cross country bike with high-end components.

19.5" frame, good for riders 5'10"-6'1" I'd say. I'm 6' barefoot and it fits wonderfully at this saddle height.

I bought this bike in 2009 for $1300. Rode it for a few years but it has been stored in a garage for the last decade.

I never liked the flashy paintjobs of that era, so I recently took it apart down to the frame, stripped off the original paint, buffed it a bit, and applied an automotive enamel clear coat to keep the raw aluminum finish from oxidizing. Thought it would double as theft-deterrent.

I also gave it a complete overhaul. Cleaned all the parts and redid the cables with Jagwire pro housing. Replaced the chain with a new Shimano and the grips with Wolftooth Razers. Everything else is original. Hydraulic brakes have been serviced and the front suspension forks work great.

Its a remarkably light bike! I'm looking to downsize before a move, otherwise I'd keep it.
