A Pair of Large German Bisque Porcelain Figures, Late 19th / Early 20th Century
Impressed model no. 9428; marked “Germany”; underside with underglaze crown mark and number “18590”.
This charming pair of hand-painted bisque porcelain figures depicts a country boy and girl carrying buckets suspended by metal handles. Each stands on an ornate naturalistic base featuring birds, flowers, and seashells. Finely modeled with expressive features and gilt beaded accents, the figures reflect the skilled craftsmanship of German porcelain production, likely from the Thuringia region.
Height: Approximately 20inch each one
Condition: Overall very good condition with minor age-appropriate wear. The boy figure has a professionally restored two fingers (see last photo for detail ).
