Overview:
Established in 1979, Nepean Sailing Club is a family-oriented, volunteer-based organization dedicated to promoting active participation in the sport of sailing and recreational boating. Located at Dick Bell Park on Lac DeschĂȘnes, a captivating part of the Ottawa River in Nepean, Ontario, NSC offers exceptional boating experiences at an affordable cost. NSC has over 500 wet moorings and 250 dry slips and is one of Canada's largest clubs.

The Marine Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of marine facilities, ensuring that all activities align with company standards and customer expectations. This position requires a blend of administrative expertise, customer relationship management, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high levels of service while managing daily operations effectively.

Duties

Oversee daily operations of marine facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Manage customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and retention.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.
Utilize Customer Management Systems (CMS) to track customer interactions and feedback.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and service providers.
Perform administrative tasks including data entry, reporting, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsible to the General Manager for the maintenance of all safety equipment in the harbour, yard and all facilities.
Oversees and coordinates the commissioning and maintenance of the Club's physical infrastructure including but not limited to plumbing, heating and electrical systems, security systems, and fresh and river-water distribution systems.
Maintain a clean and organized office environment to support operational efficiency.
Skills

Strong customer relationship management abilities to foster positive interactions with clients.
Proficiency in office administration tasks including data entry and record keeping.
Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors.
Effective phone etiquette for professional communication with clients and stakeholders.
Proficiency in diagnosis and repair of gas and diesel marine engines, outboard and Inboard motors.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
