Robert Malerne made some really nice instruments, he was a contemporary of the famed Noblet and Le Blanc and apparently worked very closely with them. Worked as a foreman for Noblet and played in Le Blanc's band. The instruments Robert produced were usually for the American market. His company was bought up in the 70's by SML. His association with Noblet and Le Blanc goes back to 1904 from what little info i have gathered from internet resources.
