Job Overview
Rock Solid Concrete is a locally owned concrete company that serves Athabasca, Westlock and surrounding areas. We are looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic with personal drive and ambition to excel within our company. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, of various heavy machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be adept at troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This position is based in Athabasca.

What you'll be doing:
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment related issues.
Document and update service records of equipment to maintain a historical record
Preform preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment
Record parts used and part sourcing and ordering along with general shop organization
Provide support in the operation of industrial equipment as necessary.

Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot a variety of equipment related issues.
Preform comprehensive automotive repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems
Utilize power tools for assemble and disassemble of vehicle components
Must be able to meet deadlines and successfully handle time pressures and stress
Self-starter with the ability to proactively manage workload and prioritize projects accordingly
Can read electrical prints and technical data sheets
Experience operating cranes and forklifts safely and effectively.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
