"....from the very core of our experience and competency in bodhrán making.
The CoreLine
When we developed the CoreLine, our aim was to deliver a top quality instrument in a wide range of sizes, providing the customer with great value for money.
Now, the CoreLine series sets the standards for an universal bodhrán series. As the name CoreLine suggests, these models are high-quality instruments focusing on what is essential, on the core of the matter.
The CoreLine models are not bound to a certain sound, they are not designed for a specific playing style, and they do not focus on a specific look. That is why the CoreLine is a great choice for beginners and players who are looking for an outstanding drum at the best possible price.
Especially beginners may find it difficult to grasp the differences between individual skins (for example Lambeg skin, DRAGONSkin or deer skin) and the various drum models' designs. A CoreLine model is an all-purpose tool and the ideal companion to help you develop your own playing style and to help you find out which sound is for you. It will be fairly easy to resell a CoreLine model if you want to switch to a different drum model.
The good availability (most models are always in stock) and short delivery times are another strong reason for choosing a CoreLine model.

The Concept
From the choice of material to the construction of the frame and the finish of the surfaces, all components and details are perfectly balanced.
The CoreLine entered the marked in 2012 and has been improved ever since. By now, it is available in nine different model variants that cover all wishes in terms of size and model characteristics.
The Skin
We are using drum skins made by one of the best skin makers worldwide:

Characteristics of the EdlauerSelect Premium skins are: Harmonious timbre, great flexibility, comfortable surface feel, easy reaction to the skin hand with effortless tonal modulation and stable tuning in almost any climate zone.
A premium drum skin for an outstanding bodhrán series.
Attention to the smallest details
The Design
The multipoint tuning system works smoothly and allows for precise, quick and easy tuning. Thanks to the skillful shaping of the inner part of the tuning rim, the hand nestles naturally into place and is therefore very comfortable to play.
With the intricate contours and the flush to the rim skin mounting, the design of the CoreLine bodhrán demonstrates simple elegance and timelessness.
The Sound
The different models of the CoreLine series also offer different sounds: from the compressed sound of the CoreLine Bullet to the open sound of the CoreLine Maxi, the model range offers a wide spectrum.
Within the individual models, however, the sound is consistent: through clever selection of the natural skins, identical models sound very similar. If you have fallen in love with the sound of the "Bullet", the "Universal" or the "Classic", you can order online and you will get almost the identical sound.
All models, but especially the "Universal" model, are ideal for beginners, because they are not only ready to play "out of the box", but also offer a pleasant, balanced and session-compatible sound. At the same time, the CoreLine series is not a beginner's instrument, but also offers advanced players a wide range of sounds and thus long-term playing pleasure."
This Coreline is a Jacob McCauley Signature model....
Jacob McCauley is a leading Bodhrán player and instructor, renowned for his innovative approach to the instrument, and whose work has expanded the boundaries and re-defined the potential of this simple frame drum within and beyond the Irish tradition. Based near Toronto, Canada, Jacob grew up in a household filled with Irish music, where he was immersed in Bodhrán playing from a young age. He is an active performer, a touring artist, and a teacher.
Throughout his career, Jacob has played with different groups of varying genres all over the world, including: the multi-award-winning Irish band The Chieftains; five-time Juno Award-winner and Grammy-nominated Canadian Rock band Glass Tiger; award-winning Scottish band Lau; award-winning, Quebec-based Genticorum; award-winning Irish flutist Nuala Kennedy; three-time All Ireland Champion Irish fiddler Maeve Donnelly; several-time Canadian and US National Fiddle Champion Shane Cook; and two-time Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Champion Julie Fitzgerald and her Canadian Folk Music Award-nominated family band The Fitzgeralds.
Jacob's teaching experience stretches over 15 years, during which he has been faculty in educational institutions such as the Riverside Celtic College in Ontario, The O'Flaherty Irish Music Retreat in Texas, The Gaelic College in Cape Breton, and the Goderich Celtic Roots Festival and College in Ontario. He has also taught a range of workshops, classes, and private lessons throughout that time, and currently runs an online Zoom workshop series as well as online instructional subscription content.
Jacob's groundbreaking Bodhrán technique has allowed him to branch out from traditional music and explore a wide array of musical styles. Utilizing his distinctive backhand technique –– with precise tonal control and melodic range –– and his signature tipper hold, which fuses traditional and modern influences such as the single-ended styles into his own individual hybrid style, Jacob begun to incorporate a much larger range of melodic notes, as well as intricate, complex and odd time signatures, including his favourite 5/8 and 7/8. He has written and has been featured in numerous publications over the years, including: DRUM! Magazine, The Living Tradition Magazine, and Celtic Life International Magazine.
“A master of the bodhrán, Jacob McCauley's playing shows depth and dexterity on both classic and contemporary Celtic music. His super-skilful technique adapts to drive energetic reels, or to provide lovely delicate tipping on slower numbers. Jacob has that rare ability to step up at the right moments, but fade into the background as required. His performance always enhances the music.” - Alex Monaghan: well-known Traditional music reviewer from Irish Music Magazine, The Living Tradition Magazine and Folk World
