We're ClearStay Solutions, a growing company helping Airbnb hosts across Canada get properly licensed and compliant with local STR (short-term rental) bylaws.

We're looking for a freelance engineer, architectural technologist, or BCIN-certified designer to join us on an ongoing basis. You'll help us create evacuation plans, annotated floor plans, and simple compliance documents for homeowners across Canada

✅ What You'll Do:

Annotate existing floor plans with:

Fire escape routes

Smoke/CO detector placements

Fire extinguishers and exit signage

Occasionally redraw floor plans based on rough sketches or photos

Ensure plans meet basic municipal fire and STR compliance standards

Deliver polished PDFs our team can submit to the city

Requirements:

Experience with CAD, SketchUp, or other design/drafting software

Understanding of Ontario Building and Fire Code is a plus

BCIN or engineering credentials are preferred but not mandatory

Must be reliable, fast, and available for recurring freelance work

Remote work welcome — all files are shared online

Compensation:

Flat fee $125–$350 per project based on scope

Steady monthly jobs — this is ongoing, not one-time
