Freshly restored with one layer of fiberglass cloth and clear West System 207 finish to showcase the exterior wood planking. Serial # 8884-1446 Peterborough. Has not seen water yet. This canoe was build in the 1920's and has the Peterborough serial number in place.
Peterborough lists this as : Our 12 ft canoe, No.86 well being a splendid one man craft nevertheless has sufficient beam and depth to accomodate two men . It will carry 450 lbs without overloading. The short length makes it very convenient for portaging through the bush and handling in narrow streams and weeky places.
